Lab Coats, Goggles, and Molecular Modeling Kits Sale

In order to participate in an academic chemistry laboratory at Kent State University, you are required to have a lab coat.

Coats must be longer than waist-length and have cuffed sleeves.

Coats can be purchased at the bookstore or elsewhere; however, our group is selling high-quality embroidered lab coats that are approved to be used in the academic and research laboratories. These coats feature our departmental squirrel “mascot,” and can be embroidered with your name if you choose.

For Fall laboratories, be sure to place your order by August 2, 2025 - this will help us get your coat to you in time for the lab’s start. Orders will remain open after this date. Students who have ordered coats that do not arrive in time will be able to borrow a lab coat from the stockroom until theirs arrives.

In addition, SAACS is selling:

  • Goggles approved for use in our academic labs. These are anti-fog, scratch and impact resistant chemical splash goggles.

  • Molecular model kits.

 

Please note: All sale items will be available for pickup at the chemistry stockroom, room 120 Williams Hall, as soon as they are ready - regardless of the address you enter upon purchase. You will be notified via email when your order is ready for pickup.
